Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)

Looking to make a powerful impact on Virginia’s future without affecting your monthly budget? If you are at least 70½ years old, you are eligible to make Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from your traditional Individual Retirement Account (IRA). QCDs count toward required minimum distributions (RMDs) and, in many cases, the gifts are 100% tax-free. QCDs can total up to $100,000. This means you can help Virginia communities strengthen their climate resiliency without increasing your taxable income.

If you decide to make a QCD to Resilient Virginia, please have your investment manager write a check directly from your IRA account to “Resilient Virginia” and send it to: PO Box 309, Gordonsville, VA 22942. This direct check is important in order for the donation to be tax exempt.
